SASSA Takes Solutions to Fernie Neighborhood

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services on the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering services including new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency explained it is alarmed about the higher quantity of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a superior number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no thoroughly functional office devoted to service the area every day. The provider place made for intervention activities a substantial inflow of possible beneficiaries, which makes it tough for your office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more SRD methods to enable the servicing of all consumers and enhance entry to Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
